As you might know, Akshaya (Ashram Kitchen Department) is on day in and day out, without ever missing a single meal, no matter how many programs are happening simultaneously and how many Ishas there are to nourish.
Recently, with the mega programs in the ashram we have seen them continuously adjust to very large volumes of people. It has also been challenging to the accommodation team to provide stay for those who come to the ashram without prior notice. We feel it is time that we offer some support to make their work more effortless.
In this direction, anyone who wishes to visit or stay in the ashram for some time (including ashram volunteers, meditators, program volunteers or guests) and has decided to have their meal in Bhiksha Hall (Ashram Dining Hall), will from now on need to register at least 3 days in advance in one of the following ways:
- Sending an SMS to 83000 82000 with this message:
IYC<space>No. of people<space>No. of days<space>Arrival date<space>Time
(Sample SMS: IYC 2 5 13.3.2014 2pm)
- Filling details in the link: www.ishafoundation.org/ashramvisit
- Calling and informing PCC Reception at 94430 49553
This system will officially take effect on March 1st, 2014 . However, you can begin registering through any of the 3 options above, from Feb 13th onwards.
(Please note that unless this information is sent, we will not be able to accommodate people within the ashram. However, they can visit Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi, Suryakund/Chandrakund – and the two eateries are, of course, available for them to have their meals. The ashram is also looking into the procedure of providing prasadam in the Parikrama area in the future.)
If you wish to cancel your ashram visit, please inform the same by calling us. Or if you have registered by SMS, send the following SMS from the same mobile number through which you registered : IYC<space>Cancel
We request you to support us in making this happen. Thank you for your understanding.
This is the 20th year of Mahashivarathri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Center on Feb 27th, 2014. We cordially invite you to be part of the event!
